The 2024-2025 International Mock Trial Case: STATE V. TANKS.

  • 8/21/24: fixed a typo on Special Instruction #1. Rewrote Stipulation 10. Added description on lines 2-3 of the Tanks deposition. Fixed a typo with dates (July 11 v. July 1; 2022 v. 2024).

  • 8/22/24: fixed a typo about the date of the defendant’s arrest.

  • 9/13/24: deleted redundant case law.

  • 9/17/24: fixed a typo in Dr. Blaze’s statement.

Please inform us if you intend to use this case outside of the IMT competitions. We encourage widespread use for scrimmages and other educational purposes. You do NOT have IMT’s permission to use this case for any for-profit cause. Nobody was paid to write it and nobody has to pay to compete with it.
